About
What Catalyst Edge is — and isn't
Catalyst Edge is an independent publisher of scored SEC EDGAR filing data. Every night the pipeline reads the filings with market-moving potential, scores each one on filing type, sentiment, recency, and macro conditions, and publishes a ranked list before the US market opens. The top picks are free; subscribers get the full board.
Why the track record is public
Every pick is graded against the next trading session and published, hits and misses, in an open dataset anyone can download and check: sec-catalyst-data on GitHub, updated daily. Hit rates are measured from the next session's open, the first price anyone could actually pay, not from the prior close.
Right now the Tier 1 filter (score ≥ 15 plus a pre-market gap above 1%) shows 48% of 344 picks touching +2% above that open, against a 40% baseline across all 13,214 graded picks (window 2026-07-27 to 2026-09-22).
Who runs it
Catalyst Edge is built and operated by an independent developer. Business entity formation is in progress; this page will list the registered entity name and address once it's complete. The methodology, changelog, and failed experiments are published on this site.
What it is not
Catalyst Edge publishes information derived from public SEC data. It is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer, and nothing here is investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. A "hit" measures price movement of a screened stock, not a profitable trade after fees and slippage. Live trading performance is not currently published. Trading involves substantial risk of loss.
